It’s that time again, another exciting blog with lots of information. I left off filling you in on our two game winning streak. That winning streak has now been increased to four games and a guaranteed spot in the ODAC Tournament!

On October 6th we traveled to Randolph-Macon and played a good game winning 1-0 in overtime. During the game we created many opportunities but we shot wide or hit the post and even the crossbar. Our passing game has really picked up and we are defeating our opponents by passing around them. The communication isn’t too shabby either. With this win we surely separated ourselves from the bottom of the pack and made it known that we are one of the big dogs this year.

This past Saturday, we hosted Hollins. Before the game we were able to put another piece to our puzzle up in the locker room. It’s a new tradition we started last year to showcase and reach our goals for the season. It was our homecoming weekend which made us even more motivated to play on such an exciting weekend. This game was a little different than the last in the fact that we were actually able to hit the netting -seven times to be exact, with six different scorers. And on top of that we were able to get another shutout which gives us four on the season.

Our senior day is tomorrow, October 12th, at 4pm against rival EMU. Come out and support us especially our seniors, Sara Taylor, Kathryne Gray, Ashley Andes, and Liz Smith!
