Eagles Are Ready For First ODAC Encounter

Yet again the Eagles put another W on the board against the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels. With this exciting win and our first ODAC game on Saturday, the team is really starting to gain momentum and we are taking this week to really start pushing ourselves. We all know the importance of our ODAC games and we have stepped up during practice to make sure we are physically and mentally ready for the new chapter we are going to begin. As a freshman, I really have no idea what ODAC is like, but from the talk of the experienced players on the team it is so intense that preseason does not even compare. As the underdogs this season, the team is looking forward to proving all those doubters wrong. Again, the motto is WITNESS THE RISING.

The team is going into this Saturday’s game against Emory and Henry with a record of 5-1-1, which is the best start in school history. Practice has been packed full of finishing, weightlifting (that still is leaving us sore), fitness, possession and every other part of soccer you could imagine. The team has really given it our all this week in practice to prepare for the rest of the season, in which we will fight to the end, and we will reach our team goal. For all you doubters out there get ready to: WITNESS THE RISING!
